Highly figured mesquite wood is used for the crosses made, resulting in the unusual and unique, ranging in size from small (4 inches) to very large (12-16 inches).  Most crosses contain the features such as the shakes, worm paths, birds-eye, and other unusual features occurring in the original wood.
